Plato, the Cave, and UFO's

Here's a really interesting set of questions in a post at the RRRGroup....

In the Allegory of the cave expressed in Republic they are called the shadows of artificial replicas of real things.

Are UFOs "forms"?

We think they may be.

And if they are. then what are the real Forms, that which the UFO "forms" are mimicking?

My Strange Experience #8

Several years ago, I awoke one morning and remembered just a tiny part of a strange dream. I remembered the sensation of travelling at a high rate of speed. I have no memories of being in a craft of any kind, or seeing anything on two legs, or even any recollection of my immediate surroundings. I do remember a high pitched whine or hum and the unnerving sensation of travelling at a very, very, very high rate of speed.

Alien Hybrids

Those of you who believe in the alien hybrid conspiracy might take a look at the picture of the English hacker in this story.

Maybe you guys are right.

Planet X

Jeez, you'd think these guys have never heard of Sitchin.

This story completely ignores what he wrote 32 years ago in The 12th Planet.

But, oh yeah, he's not politically correct in the academic world. Down the memory hole with him.
Interesting Quotes

Hynek said that UFOs cause physical effects "in the same way that a poltergeist can produce very real physical effects."

Vallee said, "The UFO phenomenon represents evidence for other dimensions beyond spacetime . . . It is a spiritual system that acts on humans and uses humans."

MUFON Report for Stephenville

This story by the original reporter of the Stephenville sightings says a lot about how thorough the UFO investigators foul up a potentially momentus event. Who is lying here and who are just simply morons? How can two contradictory statements be reconciled?

"Then Ken Cherry arranged a meeting between Coran and UFO Hunters of the History Channel to purchase the video. Maccabee is the organization's state director for Maryland. Without the original film or camera or being able to look through that camera at the precise time and place the film was taken, Maccabee determined that Coran was viewing an out-of-focus star. It's an analysis that many in the UFO community agree with."

"A conclusion, Allen says, he will never believe. Allen said the tape he has shows trees and rooftops clearly in focus while the "star" is putting on a light show."

My guess is that the sightings are already receding into a UFO black hole, only to be argued endlessly in the future by two or three so-called experts that never really accomplish anything.
My Strange Experience #7

I was visiting my sister's house. My sleeping quarters was in the basement. My sister's bedroom was immediately above my bedroom and her daughter's bedroom was right next to hers. My sister's husband was on an out-of-town job. The first night I was so tired from my drive that I immediately fell asleep, even though I noticed how dark it was down there in the basement. It was pitch black dark. I mean is was pitch black. No light at all down there. I could not even see the outline of the door or anything at all from the window up near the ceiling. On the second night we all went to bed around midnight. About ten minutes later, as I was drifting off to sleep, I suddenly heard a cackling sound that seemed to come from off in the distance. It sounded like a bunch of witches that you would hear in a horror movie. I immediately assumed my sister was watching TV in her bedroom. I was drifting back to sleep when I heard the cackling again. I got out of bed and walked to the stairs that led upstairs. Pitch black. I crept up to the top of the stairs listening. The house was completely dark and silent. Neither my sister or her daughter was watching TV. The next morning I asked my sister if anyone lived in the house next door. She said no, it had been vacant for several months. I asked her if she'd heard any strange noises after we had gone to bed. She said no. My niece thought she'd heard some dogs after going to bed.

No such thing as Black Holes

"The notion of black holes voraciously gobbling up matter, twisting space-time into contortions that trap light, stretching the unwary into long spaghetti-like strands as they fall inward to ultimately collide and merge with an infinitely dense point-mass singularity, has become a mantra of the scientific community, so much so that even primary school children know about the sinister black hole, waiting patiently, like the Roman child’s Hannibal, for an opportunity to abduct the unruly and the misbehaved. There are almost daily reports of scientists claiming black holes again found here and there."

Heavy Stuff

This article could be called the Mind-Boggling Post of the Week....
"Planck was forced to conclude that matter at its most fundamental level is not continuous, not solid. There are no tiny billiard balls. When you break down an atom, you get an electron, a proton and maybe a neutron. But it turns out these are not the smallest units either. You can break things down further to bosons, quarks, W particles, tachyons and a lot of other shadowy “things” that just sort of wink in and out of existence. Where do things go when they “wink out?” Nowhere! They cease to exist! Then they come back again. So what? you might ask. Well, as you know, the human body is made up from the fundamental elements of nature. We are mostly water, but we also have iron in our blood, calcium in our bones, and such. But each of those substances are made up of individual atoms, which in turn are made up of ghostly bits of nothing that just sort of come and go, in and out of reality. Scientists call this blinking process “quantum fluctuation.” So when the elements of your body fluctuate, so does your body, and so do you! So does your brain and the chemicals in your brain! In fact, you may be in a state of nothingness more often than you are in a state of somethingness."
How could you top that? I won't even try. Read the entire article and judge for yourself.
It would explain why UFO's sometimes blink on and off., and sometimes appearing and disappearing seemingly at will.

Gnostics and the Aliens

If you have ever studied gnosticism you are probably as confused as I am. No wonder the Catholic Church saw them as heretics. But as this story illustrates, maybe the Gnostics were on to something...

Dr. Salla, David Icke, Alex Collier, and numerous other testimony, suggests that Manipulative Extraterrestrials have indeed visited Earth, and that they pursue an alleged on-going agenda against human free will. A composite of the representation of these presenters, is that some Manipulative Extraterrestrials have the technological capabilities for periods of time to take human form. It is alleged that Manipulative Extraterrestrials in human form, seek to act as Trojan horses within human institutions, to mis-direct humanity into an agenda that serves the divide, rule and conquest ambitions of a clique of alien races.

What's so frustrating is that Liberals will see Bush, Cheney, Rove, et al as manipulating reptilian fascists. And Conservatives will see Al Gore, Clinton, Carter, Obama, et al in the same light. Someone let me know when you have the evidence for either.

Through simulated reality, these aliens according to the Gnostics, seek to create a “reality tunnel” that can be used to deceive and control humanity. The ability to mimic and replicate reality would include, the ability to copy and assume a human form, while not being human at all.

The impression I get from reading the entire story is that we are moving towards acceptance of the Biblical concept of a great war between good and evil. And we humans are the prize. The ancient Greeks recounted tales of great wars in which the Gods urged on their favorites and even wagered with one another as to who would win. I get the distinct impression that God and Satan are the protagonists. Perhaps they have a friendly wager as to who shall win. And you and I are the pawns. Our souls are at stake.

One of the more enlightened pawns, C. S. Lewis, had this to say, “The Devil cannot stand being mocked.” So choose your side carefully, if you value your soul. Mock away. Now and forever.

My Strange Experience #6

Sometime in my mid-twenties I rented a trailer house because I was nearly broke and needed a place to live that was cheap and close to work. And it was perfect for my needs at the time. In the front of the trailer, in the living room, was a mobile made from glass squares and triangles hanging from the ceiling. It never made any noise when I was in the living room and I never opened any windows. My air conditioner was running almost all the time because it was hot and muggy. But, when I went to bed at night, the mobile would start making noises, even though there was no breeze to make it move. It did not make noise every night, but it did so maybe three or four times a week. I lived there for about six months and it never made any noise while I was in the living room, only at night after I had gone to bed in the rear bedroom of the trailer. At the beginning I would get up from bed, turn the lights on, and slowly make my way to the living room. But the mobile would fall silent. I would stand there waiting to see any movement. Nothing. I made my peace, silently, with whatever was happening and I learned to live with it until I moved out.

Chemtrails

Personally I don't place too much stock in Chemtrail stories. But I've been wrong before on so many different things, so I do try to keep an open mind. This lady spins a powerful tale for those who will listen.

"The possible explanations for the billowing plumes released behind the mysterious white planes and the clouding of our skies run from harmless water vapor to benevolent protection from the sun´s harmful rays to an insidious and secret plot of depopulation and everything in between. But for me, I believe we are seeing the signs spoken of by the ancient prophets. It seems, as we grow more educated in this country such antiquated notions as prophecies are quickly dismissed as ridiculous fairy tales and many of us have learned to discount our own instincts in favor of an expert´s opinion. We have been taught since preschool to look to our teachers or nearest authority figure to tell us what to think and how to behave and we tend to trust that dynamic. We have been well trained to look to our leaders, be they our peers, professors, bosses, scientists, politicians, doctors, newspapers or the television and know, without questioning, that what is being relayed to us is the truth. And we have been well instructed not to trust our own instincts, not to trust the words of those who lived and died before us and not to trust the wisdom of our own elders. But I believe those suddenly confronting the change in our skies are watching the old hierarchy, the old standards, begin to crumble."

Anyone who follows the news must see that there are some sinister clouds gathering. Even though previous generations have thought they were living during the end times, today's news has an especially gloomy sense. If not now, then when? Perhaps we are watching the world begin to "crumble" and no one shall save us from ourselves.

Mysterious Crash

Here's a very interesting case from the California Arizona border. It's got several classic items included along with the sighting. UFO falling to Earth. Helicopters. Government personnel.

“When it came down, that’s how I saw the shape of it –
by the turquoise-blue fire that was in front of it
that showed the oval shape.”

Linda Moulton Howe has a knack for finding the most interesting cases.
Quotable quote

Is there anyone who has influenced the UFO community more than Jacques Vallee? His thoughts and opinions will live on for years. Here is my favorite quote by him...

"The phenomenon presented by UFOs is far larger than current speculation about 'aliens from space.' It raises questions about consciousness, about the nature of reality and about human history on the Earth."

Has science made belief in God obsolete?

From my mailbox comes this story. Thanks Danny.

Samples follow...

...while science probably makes God obsolete, it certainly has not made belief in Him obsolete. According to a 2007 Harris Poll, 82 percent of adult Americans believe that there is a God. In 1916, Shermer noted, a survey found that 40 percent of practicing scientists believed in God. That figure is roughly commensurate with the percentage of scientists today who affirm faith in God.

Shermer argued that “any sufficiently advanced extraterrestrial intelligence would be indistinguishable from God.” Science has nothing to say empirically about a supernatural being outside the realm of the natural world.

“I do not believe that science is ever going to prove the existence of God,” he explained, “nor do I believe that science is ever going to disprove the existence of God.”

Shermer, however, insisted that religion cannot be separated wholly from science, because “at some point, if you believe in God, you just have to believe that he’s…entering our world. And if he’s entering our world, isn’t he doing it in some measurable way? And now we’re back to the natural world.” Phillips, while assuring Shermer that he believes God does work in the world—he is a theist, not a deist—said that he “has a hunch” that God does so in “undetectable” ways.

As for me, the UFO Pilgrim, I believe that someday scientists will throw up their hands and proclaim that only the existence of God can explain the universe. And they will say that to deny the existence of God is to deny reality. That's what I believe, for what it's worth.

Five Questions Evolutionists Would Rather Dodge

Evolutionists are masters at covering the flaws and weaknesses of their theory...

Most evolutionists give the impression that evolution is a settled fact of science, on the order of the Earth being round or revolving around the Sun. Evolution, we are assured, has been overwhelmingly confirmed. Only rubes and ignoramuses debate evolution. Any resistance to it is futile and indicates bad faith or worse.

“When discussing organic evolution the only point of agreement seems to be: ‘It happened.’ Thereafter, there is little consensus….” To the public, the evolutionary establishment presents a united front. But this illusion of consensus quickly evaporates once you know where to look and what questions to ask.

My Strange Experience #5

During a dental examination at Navy boot camp in San Diego, California the dentist casually asked me how I had broken my nose. I replied that my nose had never been broken. He laughed and said that it most certainly had been broken. I asked how he knew and he said that he could see cartilage inside my right nostril protruding at an angle which indicated that my nose had been broken. To the best of my knowledge, I had never had my nose broken prior to that point in time. I promptly forgot about the incident until years later when I read about people claiming to have had implants forced up into their nostrils.

"Little People" of Alaska

Most people think that those of us who believe in UFOs are insanely crazy or just plain liars. Yet week after week, year after year, stories keep popping up that defy common sense. Like this one...

City folk usually dismiss ircenrraat as superstition. Those who have lived in Yup'ik country for any period of time tend to be a little more inclined to listen. For one thing, the stories are persistent and often come from respectable observers. For another, when you're by yourself in the middle of nowhere, things happen that are hard to explain.

After a little background the story finally gets around to this...

"It wasn't until the next day that the story started emerging that he'd had what you'd call an out-of-the-ordinary experience," he told me. "He'd had some missing time, just like people who report being abducted by UFOs."

Isn't it strange that people from all over the world eventually have similar stories to tell? There is a truth here that we are unable to grasp. Nor are we inclined to investigate too deeply.
Alien in Window

The video of an alien peeking into a window has hit the internet. It's kind of spooky but nothing that will probably change anybody's mind one way or another.

If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is.

Looks fake to me but who really knows?

Advanced Life

"...as we continue to search for advanced ETI's, and as we come to discover the absurdity of our isolation here on Earth, we may have no choice but to accept the hypothesis that advanced life does not venture out into space for whatever reason (the most likely being self-destruction)."

-- George Dvorsky
