My Strange Experience #14

I was 31 years old and lying on the couch watching the Dallas Cowboys play the Washington Redskins on a Sunday afternoon. I was on my left side with my head resting in the left hand. Suddenly it felt as if someone jumped on me with considerable force directly below the bottom right rib. Jeez, I nearly passed out from the pain. I had to watch the rest of the game on my stomach because I could not breathe comfortably in any other position. I was also only able to sleep that night by lying on my stomach. Monday morning I went directly to a doctor's office. He poked me a few times and then had X-rays done. Spontaneous pneumothorax, he said. Collapsed Lung. I told him it felt like someone had jumped on me. With a smile and a shrug he said it happens occasionally but is rather rare.

Okay, maybe I'll get more interested in politics now.

Mysterious UFO caught on Video

The video in this news report is fairly good compared to most. The skeptics won't be able to call it Venus, swamp gas, or the multitude of other lame excuses they usually bring up.

The guy shooting the video had some problems with focusing (don't they have automatic focus on cameras nowadays?) but overall it is a winner. My first thought was a tethered balloon of some sort but who really knows?

And then there is this amazing video that also resembles a balloon.

John Stuart Mill wrote in 'On Liberty'...

"The beliefs which we have the most warrant for, have no safeguard to rest on, but a standing invitation to the whole world to prove them unfounded."

No, he wasn't speaking of UFO's but he could have.

But I could be Wrong

This video has absolutely nothing to do with UFO's or the paranormal. Or does it?

If we are merely creatures of a computer simulation, wouldn't we be inundated with trashy visuals day after day? And wouldn't you eventually get sick of it over time? Wouldn't we be dumbed down enough to actually think we have a culture worth saving? Wouldn't we be seduced into believeing that celebrity, drugs, sports, and sex are the ultimate human attributes?

But, what the hell, boys and girls, I could be wrong.

Humans

"Human beings appear to be a slave race breeding on an isolated planet in a small galaxy. As such, the human race was once a source of labor for an extraterrestrial civilization and still remains a possession today. To keep control over its possession and to maintain Earth as something of a prison, that other civilization has bred never-ending conflict between human beings, has promoted human spiritual decay, and has erected on Earth conditions of unremitting physical hardship. This situation has existed for thousands of years and it continues today."

My Strange Experience #13

When I was about 13 years old, my 11 year old brother and I were lying in the grass one evening about 9 pm looking up at the stars and talking. Our feet were facing towards the south. No moon was visible and there was no wind at all. Three circular lights with dark centers in a triangular formation passed directly overhead going from the south to north. There was absolutely no sound - no sound at all. A slight breeze came from the south a few seconds after the lights had passed over our heads. The circles of light were each about the size of a dime held at arm's length.

Stop and say Hello

I used to work with a guy who constantly made fun of my beliefs. He lived about 14 miles out of town on his father's small cattle ranch. Whenever discussion turned to UFO's and the paranormal he would ridicule everybody who actually admitted that perhaps there was something to it.

One day he asked in a mocking voice, "Well why don't they ever stop and say hello?"

And I snapped back, "How many times have you stopped to say hello to all the cows you drive past every day?"

I admit that it was not the greatest comeback of all time but it did put a halt to his ridicule. He actually seemed to listen more intently to the stories by everyone at work after that. And he admitted later that his father had had some freaky experiences as well.

Bigfoot

I never thought I'd see the day come when a bigfoot story would take precedence over most run-of-the-mill UFO stories. But today it did. Pictures of a dead bigfoot (supposedly) can be seen here.

But beware of any claims by Tom Biscardi because he's just an attention whore and does not have much credibility. But I'll be the first to congratulate him if his claim is true.

And if you're really interested two of the most reputable bigfoot websites are here and here.

My Strange Experience #12

During a period of about 5 years, I noticed upon awakening in the morning that the blanket I was sleeping under had been neatly folded back, leaving me sleeping under a sheet only. I can recall many times waking up early in the morning being cold and having to pull the blanket back over me. There was no pattern to these events, but it seemed to happen three or four times a year for about 5 years in total. It has not happened in the last fifteen years however. Perhaps there is a certain age when we humans are no longer considered interesting?

John Keel quote...

"Throughout most of history, the manifestations of demonology and demonopathy have been viewed from a religious perspective and explained as the work of the Devil. The bizarre manipulation and ill effects described in the demonological literature are usually regarded as the results of a great unseen conflict between God and the Devil. In UFO lore, the same conflict has been observed and the believers have explained it as a space war between the "Guardians" (good guys from outer space), who are protecting our planet, and some evil extraterrestrial race. The manifestations are the same, only the reference is different."

Our Mysterious Moon

Is it hollow? Could it be an abandoned spaceship? Is it older than Earth? And why are those numerous craters so shallow?

Excellent article here.

Astronomers and UFO's

Have you ever heard the old meme that "astronomers have never seen a UFO?" Well, a clueless blogosphere putz regurgitates the tired old claim and is given a smackdown at the UFO Mystic.

Make sure to read the comments.
My Strange Experience #11

About 3 years after my strange experience #10, I awoke again in the middle of the night. Wide awake. I was not groggy like I usually am. It was 2 or 3 in the morning. I am frozen again and am unable to move. I am afraid of something. Is there a blurry object standing there in the corner? Did it dart towards the bedroom door? This time I was lying on my back and could only move my eyes left and right. I remember feeling that someone wanted something from me. I had an overwhelming sensation of someone being either in my apartment or of someone who had just left. I was afraid and wanted to get up but I could not move. Suddenly, the feeling of being frozen passed and I remember lying there silently in the dark for a long time before eventually falling back to sleep.
