UFO's and Demons?

Many websites claim that UFO's are a demonic manifestation. Even Whitley Strieber has written of his belief in demons in his book Transformation. John Keel also referred to "the age-old demonological phenomenon."

Dr. Jacques Valle, in Messengers of Deception, observed that, "Human beings are under the control of a strange force that bends them in absurd ways, forcing them to play a role in a bizarre game of deception."

Some writers quote Matthew 16:4, "An evil and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah" when others say that UFO's are signs intended for the faithful. So who is right? William Shakespeare added to the confusion by writing, "There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy."

Still others claim that Satan's forces are attempting to prevent the second coming of Jesus Christ by re-corrupting the human race as they did once before, during Noah's generation.

And Matthew 13 seems to hint at unseen forces, "By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart...."

And finally, the last word....

The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering.O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

Hi UFO Pilgrim,

I think we get stuck on the "demon" of pentacostal preachers casting a demon or demons out on the 20/20 tv program or the Roman Catholic exorcist ridding a person of a demon or demons with latin, holy water and making the sign of the cross (and that frightening William Peter Blatty book and movie). These get seared into our modern western cultural-Christian minds and it's hard to think of other names for 'them' - angels (fallen or otherwise),mazzikim, djinn, fairies, tricksters ect.

I've read John Keel and Jacques Vallee and think they may be on to something. Also the later ideas of Raymond Fowler and Ann Druffel are quite similar to what Keel and Vallee wrote of. There were other lesser known authors such as Aimee Michel of France who picked up on these ideas (influencing Vallee).

There may be ETs and then there may also be ultra-terrestrials/interdimensionals/metaterrestrials that can be misunderstood for or mimic what we expect of ETs.

Whether we're dealing with one or two phenomenons they're probably old. An earthbound intelligence existing alongside us in another space-time that pops in on occasion and also something else - ETs that perhaps farmed us - creating hybrids out of themselves and apes long ago. Two separate happenings that seem similar.

Keel, Vallee, Fowler and Druffel have noted how poltergeist and ghost activity happen during close encounter cases. Fowler, who came along with much resistance to the realization that he was an abductee too, experienced poltergeists, OBEs, Time-Traveling(Whitley Streiber did the TT also) and heightened synchronicities that seem tied into the phenomenon.

Since you quote NT scripture, I wonder if Jesus Christ failed at delivering humanity from the Archons that are written about in the Ghostic Texts?

I do wish that Christians read the Ghostic texts, but there is so much fear of reading 'outside' the "Holy Bible" and all that entails.

Nice blog, btw!

Thanks for coming by, Susan. I'm just a dumbass Texan who has had some strange experiences in life and have been trying to make some sense of them. I've read some of the authors you mentioned. My head begins to spin when I try to absorb their writings with previous ones.

As for Scripture, the Bible strikes a chord within me that most other writings don't. Perhaps it's an Occam's Razor thingee. I'm not that knowledgeable about Gnostic texts but I did read The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine Pagels several years ago. Excellent book but she had my mind spinning at times. Gnostic beliefs sort of reminded me of Scientology.
