Carl Sagan
I really never liked this guy. He was rather cloying and full of condescention, in my opinion. His appearances on the Johnny Carson show always left me feeling cold.
I've posted several times on Sagan. See here and here.
But he wasn't 100% bad. I do like this quote...
"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere."

I couldn't stand Sagan and never got the popular culture's acceptance of him. He looked like a bird-of-prey in a turtle neck and now that we know he was smokin' dope daily, well....
Anyhow, I remember in the mid-to-late 1970s when I was in my early 20s and he was on The Dick Cavett Show. Cavett also had on Charles Hickson from the Pascagoula Abduction fame. Cavett smirked and giggled his way through the show as Sagan basically called Hickson a liar and/or mentally ill....over and over again.
