Evidence of Moon Landing
"Hey, can you see the flag on the Moon with that thing?"
For the last 40 years, every amateur astronomer with a big telescope has heard this countless times. My standard response, ever since I was a teenager, has always been:
"No, telescopes on the ground mostly can't see anything smaller than a mile across on the Moon. The flag is just a couple feet across. The Apollo landing stages are still there, but they're only a few yards across."
Fact is, not even the Hubble telescope or lunar orbiters have had optics good enough to see anything that humans left on the Moon.

John Keel
...has died. He was a very strange man, rather pathetic...an oddity in a so-called reality-based world. And I predict he was much closer to the truth than almost all scientists.

It is more likely that we see what we want to see and interpret such visions according to our contemporary beliefs."
In UFOs: Operation Trojan Horse Keel argues that a non-human or spiritual intelligence source has staged whole events over a long period of time in order to propagate and reinforce certain erroneous belief systems. For example, the fairy faith in Middle Europe, vampire legends, mystery airships in 1897, mystery aeroplanes of the 1930s, mystery helicopters, anomalous creature sightings, poltergeist phenomena, balls of light, and UFOs. Keel conjectured that ultimately all of these anomalies are a cover for the real phenomenon.
In Our Haunted Planet, Keel coined the term "Ultraterrestrials" to describe the UFO occupants. He discussed the seldom-considered possibility that the alien "visitors" to Earth are not visitors at all, but an advanced Earth civilization, which may or may not be human.
Keel took no position on the ultimate purpose of the phenomenon other than that the UFO intelligence seems to have a long-standing interest in interacting with the human race.

Genetics
Some believe that humans are simply a genetic experiment implemented by some race or group of unknown entities that may or may not come from other realms of the universe. Others think we are being guided to a heightened spirituality by these unkown entities. Some writers refer to these entitites as Space Brothers.
Space Brothers are here to further our advancement and to look out for us, they say. Evidence for this is sadly lacking, however, as is the evidence that God, or a group of gods, is actively involved in our salvation.
If these entitities are here to further our advancement then they certainly seem to have a glacial sense of time. And what's with the overabundance of mind-numbing fascists on both the left and right? You'd think natural selection, if true, would have eliminated all of these defective people long ago.
Are they experimenting on humans? Well, we humans do all kinds of experiments on the lesser lifeforms here on Earth. Why would a superior being have any qualms about doing the same to us? Who are we to complain?
Perhaps they are here to give us some tough love without revealing themselves...sort of like an anonymous benefactor that chooses to remain in the background while pointing out subtle guidelines that should be followed.
Those who believe that they have been abducted would disagree with the touchy feely, warm and fuzzy view of these alien entities. Their stories are full of clinical, callous disregard for our sense of human dignity by these so-called Space Brothers.
So what are we to believe? Are we are totally screwed? Are we are totally dependent upon the whims or agenda of a supreme God, a plethora of pagan gods, or perhaps even the Space Brothers?
Was it Yogi Bear who said, "What a revolting situation!"

Global Warming
A new term, “Geo-engineering,” has come to the fore at various international meetings dealing with ‘Global warming’ (now more correctly addressed as Climate Change).
The term was officially embraced by the new U.S. presidential science advisor, John Holdern. Speaking at a recent international conference in Bonn, Germany, he revealed that “Geo-engineering” is among the “extreme options” under discussion by the U.S. government: Using space-age technology yet to be devised, he said, “particles will be shot into the Earth’s upper atmosphere to create a shield that will reflect away from Earth the Sun’s warming rays.” While such extraordinary measures would be only a last resort, “we don’t have the luxury of taking any approach off the table,” Dr. Holdren said.
Such new space-age ideas duplicate technologies that have already been used 450,000 years ago!

Abduction

Alien Invasions
Wikipedia notes that alien invasion movies aren’t really about lizards occupying the earth as much as an expression at some level, of our deepest social fears.
"The invasion scenario has been used as an allegory for a protest against military hegemony and the societal ills of the time. Wells’ The War of the Worlds is often viewed as an indictment of European colonialism and its “gunboat diplomacy” —setting a common theme for some politically motivated future alien invasion stories.
Prospects of invasion tended to vary with the state of current affairs, and current perceptions of threat. Alien invasion was a common metaphor in US science fiction during the Cold War, illustrating the fears of foreign (i.e. Soviet Union) occupation and nuclear devastation of the American people.…"

Quantum Theory
It is kind of nice to see a scientist admit to the possibility of a spiritual reality....
"Because of its bizarre implications, quantum theory has been used to investigate everything from free will and the paranormal to the enigma of consciousness. Several serious physicists have devoted their lives to the study of such ideas, including Bernard d'Espagnat. In March, the 87-year-old Frenchman won the prestigious $1.5 million Templeton Prize for years of work affirming "life's spiritual dimension....Based on quantum behavior, Dr. d'Espagnat's big idea is that science can only probe so far into what is real, and there's a 'veiled reality' that will always elude us."

So what is truth?
Wormholes. Time Dilation. Black Holes. Multiple Dimensions. Reptilian Shape Shifters. Uncertainly Principle. Parallel worlds. Warping space. Gnostic gnonsense. Archons. Demiurges. Tulpas.
I find it odd that people can speak of these things with a straight face yet disparage the Christian religion. Aren't they all a little hard to believe in? Where's the evidence for any of them. Yet only one is mocked and ridiculed daily in our society. People should remember that in 1803 scientists were forced to admit that meteors fell from the sky and sometimes landed on Earth. Previously the stories of falling rocks had been mocked and ridiculed as stories made up by the uneducated rubes living in the hills.
Just who exactly benefits from the destruction of Christianity?
Jacques Vallee wrote in 1989, "I think the stage is set for the appearance of new faiths, centred on the UFO belief. Crop Circle
I just don't know what to make of crop circles. Some are obviously hoaxes but the sheer numbers and locations they are found in around the world seem to indicate some kind of paranormal connection.
Crop circles are like UFO and bigfoot stories...alluring yet contrary to the senses.

Star Trek
Like you, I watched Star Trek because everyone else was doing so. But I quickly tired of the inherent lameness of the story lines and drifted away. Here is a good example of why I switched channels to more realistic shows like Batman and Jerry Springer. Just kidding....

Skin Walker
In some Native American legends, a skin-walker is a person with the supernatural ability to turn into any animal he or she desires. Similar lore can be found in cultures throughout the world and is often referred to as shapeshifting by anthropologists.
Often, Navajos will tell of their encounter with a skinwalker, though there is a lot of hesitancy to reveal the story to non-Navajos, or (understandably) to talk of such frightening things at night. Sometimes the skinwalker will try to break into the house and attack the people inside, and will often bang on the walls of the house, knock on the windows, and climb onto the roofs. Sometimes, a strange, animal-like figure is seen standing outside the window, peering in. Other times, a skinwalker may attack a vehicle and cause a car accident. The skinwalkers are described as being fast, agile, and impossible to catch. Though some attempts have been made to shoot or kill one, they are not usually successful. Sometimes a skinwalker will be tracked down, only to lead to the house of someone known to the tracker. As in European werewolf lore, sometimes a wounded skinwalker will escape, only to have someone turn up later with a similar wound which reveals them to be the witch. It is said that if a Navajo was to know the person behind the skinwalker they had to pronounce the full name, and about three days later that person would either get sick or die for the wrong that they have committed.
According to Navajo legend, skinwalkers can have the power to read human thoughts. They also possess the ability to make any human or animal noise they choose. A skinwalker may use the voice of a relative or the cry of an infant to lure victims out of the safety of their homes.

Cloud Circles
Then our attention was drawn up to a scene that astonished us, despite our sensibility. There in the sky was, beyond any doubt, an intelligent manifestation of the extramundane reality we’d just been discussing. A definitive "cloud circle" stretched across the entire visible sky above us, painted in cotton ball clouds the warm hue of reflected city lights against the pitch black canvas of deep space.

Disclosure
There are lots of calls across the internet for "disclosure" of government evidence of UFO activity in and around our planet. Of course no one really knows if the government is hiding any evidence at all. Most likely they are as clueless as the rest of us. Just ask yourself what government program has ever been successful.
But if the government did have evidence why would they refuse to disclose it? The following comment was referring to Bigfoot but it could very well have been addressing the subject of extraterrestrials....
"We're so used to being the ultimate intelligence out there that I suspect it would really mess with your mind."

Apocalypse?
I saw an interesting quote in a story of today's earthquake in Mexico.
"I'm scared," she said. "We Mexicans are not used to living with so much fear, but all that is happening - the economic crisis, the (swine flu) illnesses and now this - it feels like the Apocalypse."
And then in today's Anomalist there is a link to a story of "numerous questions concerning the enormous number of incidents in which reliable testimony from the witnesses has been passed off as being everything from government 'Black Ops' programs to natural phenomena...everything, that is, except the presence of an unknown intelligence operating around the globe with impunity." Is there a connection between the two stories? Is the truth hiding in plain sight?
Ephesians 6:12 states: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
For all of you Star Trek and Space Brothers fans, the signs seem to indicate that the UFOnauts aren't coming to save us from ourselves or to protect the polar bears. That's just a dream of those who are dismissive of the belief in God.

Hand of God?
Of course it's only a photograph of objects millions of miles away but yet it does seem to strike a chord deep down within us, doesn't it?
After reading the following quote found here, I am wondering if perhaps the entire world is being given a wakeup call. Signs of the times?

UFO Report
Like you, I read hundreds and hundreds of UFO reports every year. Most are rather vague on details and full of breathless commentary. You know what I mean. Lights moving in the sky, feelings of unease, hair standing on end, etc.
But every once in a while a really good report comes along.

Vindication of Zecharia Sitchin
New scientific discoveries continue to corroborate findings first suggested in Zecharia Sitchin's books.
Homo sapiens: The successful deciphering of a female Neanderthal genome was reported in the journal Science on February 13, 2009. The project, undertaken by scientists at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig, Germany, aimed to verify when that failed species of humans and Homo sapiens (= Modern Man) branched off, and whether the two bad ever interbred. The New York Times pointed out that the new findings "document two important sets of genetic changes - those that occurred between 5.7 million years ago, when the human line split from the line leading to chimpanzees, and 300,000 years ago when Neanderthals and the ancestors of modern humans parted ways."
In The 12th Planet (1976), describing the Anunnaki's genetic engineering to fashion The Adam, Zecharia wrote: "Man is the product of evolution; but modern Man, Homo sapiens, is the product of the 'gods'. For, some time circa 300,000 years ago, the Nefilim took ape-man (Homo erectus) and implanted on him their own image and likeness." In The Earth Chronicles Time Chart (The Wars of Gods and Men, 1985) Zecharia wrote: 300,000 years ago: The Anunnaki toiling in the gold mines mutiny. Enki and Ninhursag create Primitive Workers through genetic manipulation... Homo sapiens begins to multiply."
The Deluge: In The 12th Planet and Divine Encounters Zecharia suggested that the biblical Flood was a giant tidal wave caused by the slippage of the ice sheet off Antarctica, causing the abrupt end of the last Ice Age circa 13,000 years ago. Two recent studies corroborate both aspects of Zecharia's take on the subject: A study of ancient temperatures in the journal Nature of 26 February 2009 concludes that while warming at the end of the last Ice Age was relatively gradual in Greenland (north Atlantic), it was "rapid and abrupt" in Antarctica (south Atlantic), about 13,000 years ago.
A study of ancient sea levels published in Science of 6 February 2009 concludes that (a) Antarctica's ice sheet collapsed abruptly and (b) that due to the topography of the continent and its surrounding sea beds, the tidal wave was at least three times higher than hitherto calculated, reaching its maximal impact some 2,000 miles away. A diagram accompanying the article shows the area of maximal tidal impact in the Persian Gulf, the Mediterranean Sea and northward therefrom - the very Lands of the Bible and Mount Ararat.

Faith and Rationality
Some of my acquaintances make fun of my beliefs concerning UFO's and other paranormal oddities. How do you defend yourself when attacked by well-meaning but obnoxious friends? I've often wondered how. There really isn't a satisfying way. Just grin and bear it. Hope for the best.
Or you can throw this is their faces....

Of course, he was speaking of faith and rationality in regards to his church's teachings. But he could have been speaking of UFO's.

We are not special

Charles Darwin
I only recently learned that Charles Darwin's seminal work "The Origin of Species" has a longer title. The book's full title is On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life.
Wikipedia states that, "The scientific theory of evolution has continued to evolve since Darwin's contributions, but natural selection remains the most widely accepted scientific model of speciation."
Isn't it odd that no one refers to the final eleven words of the title? Is it another example of political correctness? The answer is...Yes, of course. Here's some quotes.
